Hey there, I'm Anthony. I'm an incredibly passionate individual who thrives on making a difference for others, no matter how big or small it is. My love to help others comes in many forms, but is most easily seen on the gym floor with clients where I can share my education to empower people to achieve their goals.

As a kid, I grew up extremely active playing many sports for clubs and school with standout achievements in Touch Football, and Futsal; my favourite of them all though was always Football (Soccer). I could be seen with a football at my feet almost as soon as I could walk, and went on keep playing at multiple representative levels for 18 years. Eventually becoming a school and club coach to nurture the next generation's talent, and pass on my love for the sport.

My first experiences with a gym was when I was 14, and later 16, where I had done work experience, and later learned that this exercise could help my sport too. This eventually petered out due to a lack of understanding of the equipment and training principles. At the latter age I was training so hard/often that I end up needing to consult a Sports Physio who had told me that I had to stop playing Football/going to gym, or I was going to develop stress fractures and be forced out of sport altogether. You could probably guess who I felt about that, but I listened nonetheless.

This feeling of being forced out of sport by my own body never left me after that, and became a driving factor in my study of sports and exercise and how to get the most out of the body, without it breaking down as a result.

Straight out of school I studied my Diploma of Sports development where I met my first mentor, and in the following two years studied my Certificates in Fitness and ASCA lv1 which eventually came to show me I had so much more to offer people outside of the sports world. Never being content with the bare minimum, I then went on to study Ex Phys at QUT and started my own business. During this time, I developed a unique skill set and new passion for Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation and Neurological Disease Treatment/Management; doing whatever I could to help others back onto their feet, so that they could reach the potential their body should always have been able to.

EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST + REHAB Expert

Anthony Dunstan

I've known Zenia for many years before beginning at Swift, and considered her to be a mentor since we first met; no matter the circumstance, I always had something to learn from her.

Over the years, we've interacted many times for Q&A's, Swift Masterclasses, and mostly recently in the Swift Movement Academy Educational Mentorship. While the previous interactions sated my hunger to learn, the mentorship really opened my eyes and even set the bar for gold standard practice after only a few weeks. It was at this time, I was certain it was an environment I wanted to be immersed in. Then, before I could even create that environment in my own business, Zenia approached me directly with an opportunity to work under her at Swift - as you could imagine, I didn't hesitate to accept.

How did I become a coach at swift movement academy?

Personally, it's the opportunity to make a difference to such a wide variety of people from all walks of life that I love most. And beyond this, it's the seemingly limitless opportunity to develop and learn.
